What I experienced of the procedures in your companioning:

I sensed that we quickly collaborated by being open and flexible to what might happen and evolve in our companioning.

The procedures for the keywords exercise established some sort of format in that we each wrote a keyword list and from this we made a combined master list, with words we had each chosen.

From these words we wrote what each of us felt right and some how in collaboration produced a profound few words about MIECAT procedures.

Exploring our relationship with the sand play exercise was really wonderful. We each chose three objects and then gave our reasons for doing so to the other. The ‘other’ [you and I] then responded to the other’s choice of objects. Together we had this reciprocal and respectful open and validating response to each other.

The clustering experience and procedures was also reflective for me. I considered your responses and you listened to mine respectfully and with curiosity.

What I experienced of relational ethics in your companioning:

I felt deeply touched by your acceptance, openness and flexibility as my companion on the journey to explore deeper matters.

Collaborating together I sensed your relational ethics to be respectful, open and curious. You listened and responded with sincere words and gestures.

At the end of the sandplay exercise I had a profound sense of being with someone in relationship at a level where I felt known and understood.

Reviewing my notes, I reflected that I accessed a multimodal experiential understanding. There were no words to explain this felt sense. I can only assume our relational process resulted in my emerging experience.

Thank you so much Cass,

Leah
